Following on from the popular CBeebies tv programme, this exciting magazine invites us to join the adventures of Captain Barnacles and his team of underwater explorers.

There are plenty of activities to keep the young reader engaged such as counting, colouring, stickers and the opportunity to draw your favourite
Octonaut with the chance of winning a cool prize.

The first few pages of the magazine dive in (excuse the pun) to an exciting story showing how the Octonauts each use their special abilities to solve an underwater problem. Whilst explaining how each character can help in their own way, we also learn of the challenges and problems the creatures under the ocean face. The reader is then led on to a series of activities which involve remembering details of the story they have just heard.

If this all sounds rather serious for the 3-5 year age group that the magazine is aimed at, fear not! There are lots of opportunities to colour in, attach stickers, join the dots and to make things. There’s even a pull out poster to stick on the wall.
