Girl Talk is an eye-catching, attention grabbing magazine that cleverly manages to cater for its 7-11 age group with content that appeals within the age span. Each issue has gossip about readers favourite celebs, competitions, puzzles, posters and lots of enticing free gifts.

I had thought Girl Talk was probably just going to be another magazine filled with talk about fashion and cosmetics, so I was surprised to find that the content is quite diverse.  In the current issue, there is an interesting article on dancer Alex Chaves who lets readers in on the things she used to love, hate, and, among other interesting facts, what her favourite school subjects were.

Each issue of Girl Talk Art features the following Girl Talk promise:

• I will love myself the way I am
• By working hard I know I can acheive great things
• I will accept others for who they are
• I will have confidence to stand up for my friends and other girls
• I believe girls are equal to boys

A fun section about a sleepover has a double page showing cute sleepover wear, sleep masks, slippers, and a page that has some great easy to make recipes that readers can serve up to their guests.

The letters page allows readers to submit their own thoughts and ideas that they would like to see incorporated into the magazine, and the “how embarassing” section reveals readers most cringe-worthy moments.

The Cat pack are featured regularly in Girl Talk.  They are exceptionally cute little cats who always have something fun going on in their lives. The current issue of Girl Talk has a free Cat Pack eraser, and a bright pink Cat Pack wardrobe that would come in handy for storing your collection of erasers. In addition to these lovely gifts, there’s also a pack of Troll Trading Cards.
