National Geographic is a venerable and extremely well respected brand, presenting informative and engaging facts about the world we live in across its television network and magazine. The magazine itself has been published continuously since 1888, shortly after the National Geographic Society was formed, and as such is a much-loved mainstay of educational publishing.
Now though, thanks to National Geographic KiDS, the good work that the society does can start to be beneficial from an even earlier age. National Geographic KiDS takes the same fascination with the natural world, geography and anthropology as its parent magazine, repackaging the facts in a way that are quick to engage and easy for young minds to digest.
As well as the usual mixture of wildlife, landmarks, natural phenomenon and general interest articles, National Geographic KiDS features a broad range of culture too, including samples of books from the likes of much-loved children’s authors Michael Morpurgo and Rick Riordan.
Posters, models, toys and other free gifts are also regularly included with the magazine, with some of them proving useful for practical activities such as camping or bird-spotting.
If you want to inspire your little learner to get interested in the world, get outdoors and pay closer attention and care to the world around them, then National Geographic KiDS is the perfect way to broaden their horizons and start them off on their journey of discovery.
