What’s it About: The Simpsons family and Simpson’s trivia.
Where is it from: United Kingdom
How often is it published: Monthly
So what can you expect from the Simpson’s Comic? I was interested to find out as I have watched the hilarious tv programme many times and wondered how this would transfer into the written form.
The Simpsons Comic jumps straight in with a short introduction on what we can expect to find inside, along with a feature called “Eye on Springfield”. This gives a little insight into up and coming shows and also features “Simpsons trivia” which will have a random fact for readers. Do you know, for example, what is so strange about the tree that houses the back of Bart’s wooden treehouse?????
Each issue of Simpsons contains three comic strip stories which feature the characters that we have become familiar with, so expect to read about Apu the local convenience store owner, entrepreneur Ned Flanders, and Principal Skinner the 4th grade science teacher, among others.
The centre pages include a free colour poster which interestingly has a different poster on the flip side for a change of scene. Readers are invited to draw a picture based on a theme, with the favourites being published and rewarded with a Simpsons Certificate of ‘Non-Sarcastic Approval’. ‘Junk Mail’ features readers letters with a list of ingenious questions that the Junk Mail Guy is obliged to answer. And in case you are still pondering over the treehouse question….from episode to episode, the tree seems to move around the yard!
Keep up to date with the latest action from the Simpsons and subscribe today.
