My Mindfulness Journey
10th February 20234 pain free lifestyle changes, To help save our planet.
14th February 2023I started sewing using Burda Style magazine when I was 13. I learned how to trace the pattern and started making my own clothes. Sewing is very therapeutic for me.
I recently started sharing my makes on my instagram @atelierloreine
Blue Velvet Dress
This dress is a vintage pattern from Burda Style magazine 05/2012.
It was originally published in Burda Modem 05/1961.
This dress features a draped back and is made in velvet fabric.
Green Satin and Tulle Dress
A stunning pattern from Burda style magazine 12/2017 model number 107.
The bodice pieces are cut of embroidered tulle fabric and the skirt out of crepe satin fabric. The skirt is lined with a crepe lining and the bodice with the same fabric as the skirt.
I wore this dress to the wedding of a beloved family member.
Blazer
Collarless design, very comfortable thanks to the elasticity of its jersey fabric and lining.
Fitted panels below the waist and two pocket flaps.
The pattern is from Burda Style magazine 11/2018 model number 119.
Yellow/Brown Blouse
The pattern of this blouse is surely one that I haven’t sewn before.
Squared sleeve insert panels, placed deep in the front and back of the blouse.
A challenging pattern from Burda Style magazine 04/2020 model 113.
Dotted blouse
A wrap blouse pattern from Burda Style magazine 11/2019 model number 107.
Very practical yet very stylish. Its cut is slightly longer at the back with a deep front neckline. It closes with two bias strips cut from the same fabric.
Blue flowered tunic
A relaxed fit tunic with deep gathers at the sleeves and a round shoulder yoke.
Another stunning pattern from Burda style magazine 11/2018 model number 102.
The neckline is finished with a bias strip that ties in the front. The sleeves finished with an elastic at the hem.
