Position: Management Accountant

My Role at Unique Magazines: In my role as the Management Accountant, each day brings a new set of challenges and opportunities. I am the go-to person for all things related to numbers and figures at Unique Magazines. My responsibilities range from issuing invoices and ensuring timely payments from our customers to managing payments to our suppliers. A key part of my job is to ensure accuracy in billing – making sure neither our customers nor we overpay. The heart of my role is in balancing the books, and there’s a deep sense of satisfaction every time I see everything line up perfectly.

Favourite Magazines: My magazine tastes are eclectic and varied. I find myself drawn to weekly lifestyle magazines and can’t resist a good celebrity gossip mag. Local publications like Living North and The Northumbrian hold a special place in my heart, reflecting the spirit of our region. I’m also a food magazine enthusiast, always eager to try out new recipes and culinary ideas.

Hobbies and Interests: Away from the world of numbers, my life revolves around my two sons and our shared passion for football. We’re ardent Newcastle United fans, and you’ll often find us cheering at games or watching matches on TV. I’m also the proud supporter on the sidelines, watching my youngest play. Spending time with family and friends is my idea of a perfect day, especially when it involves going out for a meal. But nothing beats the quiet weekends at home – those rare, cherished moments filled with home-cooked meals, movies, and TV series. It’s in these simple pleasures that I find my greatest joy.
