This marked the inception of my quest for the epitome of audio clarity and enveloping soundscapes.

The breakthrough of surround sound technology was a pivotal moment, enabling me to upgrade my setup to include a centre speaker, front left and right speakers, a subwoofer, and two surround speakers, all intricately connected to my television. This arrangement was the dawn of a newfound immersive audio experience.

Fuelled by a relentless pursuit of unparalleled sound and visual quality, I ventured into creating a bespoke cinema room. Throughout this journey, Home Cinema Choice magazine emerged as an indispensable compass, rich with comprehensive reviews, technological breakthroughs, and head-to-head comparisons across a wide array of equipment, from budget-conscious choices to the pinnacle of high-fidelity systems, covering speakers, projectors, receivers, and Blu-ray players.

The magazine’s expert insights were crucial in steering my early efforts towards establishing a dedicated cinema haven. Today, my setup features a 5.2.4 configuration, including two KEF 700s front speakers, a KEF 600c centre speaker, two KEF subwoofers, two KEF T301s surround speakers, and four KEF overhead speakers, all fine-tuned to maximize the Dolby Atmos effect. This system is powered by a Pioneer receiver, with an Epson projector for visuals, and a Pioneer Blu-ray player to breathe life into the movies.
